Once again I'm determined to find a Subaru to buy for this winter, and I'd appreciate all possible eyes helping find one nearby. What do you say we play a little game of crowd sourced search? The rules are simple. It must be a:
SOHC engine or H6, which means it must be a:
Non WRX (or STi) Impreza between 94-09 but not a 98 (GC coupe preferred)
Forester of any year except 98
Legacy of any year but must not be a DOHC.
Manual gearbox is a must (unless it's the Legacy with the H6)
The less standard equipment the better (manual windows, cloth seats, non leather steering wheel, steel wheels, all preferred in my book.)
Within 150 miles of 67216, and budget is between $1000 and $8000 (for the right car)
If you by any chance find a Saab 9-2x I'd be forever grateful, but it must be the Linear trim. (non Aero)

A turbo will get me in trouble, and it's more expensive to maintain. And you don't need a whole lot of power when you have dirt roads and snow. Also, slow car fast.
